Description
High level disinfectant. Novacid 28 allows cold disinfection of surgical and heat-sensitive medical instruments.
Microbiological Properties: Bactericidal, mycobactericidal, fungicidal, virucidal (Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella choleraesuis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Trychophyton mentagrophytes, Candida albicans, Mycobacterium smgamatis) at 30 minutes and sporiscillus spillicide (Bacillus subtillis, Clostridium sporogenes), in 60 minutes according to studies carried out by international techniques.
- Glutaraldehyde 2.2% w / v
- Surfactant
- Purified water qs. 100%
Instructions for use: Before using the Novacid 28 solution, it must be activated. Record the activation date. The contents of the activator solution should be poured into the bottle or drum (as appropriate) of NOVACID 28. Mix well. Do not dilute. The solution will turn a slight blue color, indicating that it is ready to be used. The product thus prepared has a stability of 28 days, as long as the minimum inhibitory concentration is controlled, which is 1.0%, which will be determined by using the control test strips for the Novacid 28 solution.
To proceed with the disinfection, the materials must be carefully cleaned and rinsed before soaking in Novacid 28. Place the material to be processed in a plastic tray with the disinfectant solution, cover and leave for at least 60 minutes in direct contact with bacteria, yeasts , fungi, viruses, mycobacteria and bacteria spores. Do not add any product. Then rinse carefully in sterile water.
Verification of the effectiveness of the product: The control strips are indicated to control the level of active Glutaraldehyde in the Novacid 28 total cold disinfection solution. They must be used at the beginning of the session (after activating the solution) or at resume activity after an interruption. To carry out the control, the reactive part of the strip must be completely immersed in the Novacid 28 solution (activated) for 1 second. Then remove the excess solution by lightly shaking the strip and wait 15 seconds before reading the result. A uniform pink coloration indicates that the solution is compliant; an orange or orange color with pink edges indicates non-conformity of the solution, so it should be discarded. Control strips should be stored in their closed container in a dry place, away from light and moisture until their expiration date.
Compatible materials: Ideal for heat-sensitive instruments. Aluminum, zinc, carbon steel, tungsten carbide, stainless steel, chrome steel, polyvinyl chloride, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene, neoprene probe, silicone, kroton tubing, and rigid nylon.
Restrictions on use: Do not immerse any material for more than 24 hours. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
Inactivation and disposal method: It is disposed of to sewage by dilution method with tap water according to established biosecurity standards. Empty containers are rinsed with running tap water and disposed of as non-hazardous waste or in accordance with established biosecurity standards.
Expiration: Three years from the date of production
